Alberta’s Rich History
Alberta has a relatively short, yet incredibly rich history. This history includes rugged individuals that braved the elements to build lives for their families and communities. This history also includes many boom/bust cycles that uprooted livelihoods and changed the Albertan landscape. Albertans today hold on to this pioneer resolve and continue to build a province that is unique and amazing!
Alberta – like many provinces and states across the west experienced resource booms and busts in the 19th and 20th centuries. People moved where livelihoods could be made and today the ghastly remnants of historical towns remind us of how Albertans built Canada’s greatest province!
