Alberta is a world destination for anybody looking to enjoy an adventure in one of our many public parks. Alberta is home to over 400 provincially maintained parks and 5 national parks in areas that are significant due to geography, culture, history, or other reasons. Each park is unique and you could visit all of them and still miss out on cool things!

Alberta Provincial Parks
Alberta has over 75 Provincial Parks spread across the province with a diverse range of terrain, features, and activities. Most of the Provincial Parks also have camping, fishing, and hiking opportunities.

Alberta Wildland Provincial Parks
Alberta has 34 Wildland Provincial Parks across the province. They are generally much larger, more remote, and less developed than the normal provincial parks.

Alberta National Parks
Alberta is home to 5 of Canada’s National Parks including both the first and the largest National Park in Canada. The two largest dark sky preserves in Canada are in Alberta as well.
