The park is 4.5 square kilometers and is split into two areas: Zeiner in the north, and the larger Pigeon Lake part of the park in the south. Both areas are along the shores of the lake.

Day Use at Pigeon Lake
There is a day use area at both of the campgrounds at Pigeon Lake Provincial Park: Zeiner, and Pigeon.
- Zeiner Day Use – This day use area has firepits, flush toilets, and water taps. Is a good picnic area and provides lake access and a beach.
- Pigeon Day Use – This is another good day use area for picnics because liquor is permitted between 11am and 9pm. There is a boat launch here as well as firepits, outhouses, and water taps.
