Wabamum Lake Provincial Park is located on the north-eastern shore of Wabamun Lake about 60km west of Edmonton on the Yellowhead Highway. It is a favourite for golfers and lake enthusiasts alike and has well-developed services available for those that want to ease into camping – or the seasoned campers that just want to get away for a weekend.

Summer at Wabamum Lake
Wabamum Lake is a popular destination for Edmontonians looking to enjoy the water on a hot, summer afternoon (or weekend). The park has well developed facilities for lake users such as change rooms, a beach, and flush washrooms. Popular activities include swimming, power boating, water skiing, sailing, wind surfing, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. On the land, there are hiking (boardwalks in the day use area), mountain biking, camping, birding, and geocaching opportunities. Birders can view hooded mergansers, bald eagles, mallards, gulls, terns, rails, herons, loons, kingfishers, sandpipers, ospreys, western grebes, ravens, gray jays, and great gray owls.
Wabamum Lake Provincial Park is popular for golfers as well because it is adjacent to a golf course with two others nearby.

Wabamum Lake Provincial Park has one large campground with unserviced sites, powered sites, and some group use sites. It is open between April 28 and October 31. The campground has firepits, firewood (for sale), flush toilets, playgrounds, sewage disposal, showers, and is beside a golf course. The campground is also wheelchair accessible.
